APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID,SCHOLARSHIPS & LOTTERY MONEY WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS of LA SENIORS A financial aid workshop and informational meeting will be held for parents of LA 12th graders. Senior Counselor Bonnie Stapp will be presenting. Topics will include Graduation, Getting Money to pay for school next year (Federal financial aid, Lottery money, Scholarships), Filling out the FAFSA, and a Question & Answer session.

The meeting will be Thursday February 25th, 2010 at 5:30 pm in the LA Mini-theatre. This is the same day as 2nd semester Parent/Teacher conferences starting at 3pm.

ALL parents of 12 graders are encouraged to attend.

First Freedom Student Competition
Online Registration deadline:Monday, November 23, 2009
Postmark Entry deadline: Saturday, November 28, 2009
The competition is a national essay contest offering 9th-12th grade students an opportunity to compete for awards, as they examine the history, current importance and relevance of religious freedom in their lives.

1st place - $3,000
2nd place - $1,500
3rd place - $750
